Featured Entrepreneur: Julia d’Albert-Pusey, Founder of Myrtle & Maude, a holistic pregnancy and women’s wellbeing brand.

Julia d’Albert-Pusey founded Myrtle & Maude in Yorkshire and the company creates vegan, organic and natural products for the pregnancy journey & women’s wellness. We had the opportunity to feature Julia, a certified essential oil practitioner, and find out what led her to create her wellbeing brand.

According to Julia, it was due to her family’s simplistic life and from a young age that she had developed her passion for sustainable and natural products.

“I started ‘Myrtle & Maude’ because life has become so stressful and hectic and the simple ‘good life’ is quite hard to attain in the modern world. I saw that there was a lack of natural solutions that were easy and convenient to use especially for Women’s health & wellness and specifically for the pregnancy journey.”Julia says.

“A passion for natural living was in my blood and we named the brand after our grandmothers as homage to the values that have been passed down through the generations. Myrtle & Maude’s range employs the uplifting, soothing and settling powers of plants and herbs to combat the trials and tribulations of pregnancy and the women’s wellness journey. We know the natural world, and take inspiration from the earth and its raw beauty to provide, unique blends formulated by our herbalist, created to provide comfort and wellbeing. The highly-trained team in our nature labs are specialist growers, pruners, pickers, blenders and everything in-between. We only source high-quality, natural ingredients.” She explains.

About Myrtle & Maude and its products

“Myrtle & Maude’s mission is to formulate quality organic solutions for people searching for a natural alternative. Created by women for women we deliver products that nurture womanhood at every stage of life”

Founded in Yorkshire in 2017, Myrtle & Maude creates certified organic, vegan, and cruelty-free wellness products designed to aid women on their pregnancy journey and beyond. The brand understands how important it is for pregnant women and new mothers to find natural, nontoxic, nourishing products for both them and baby, which is why almost all its products are created entirely from 100% plant-based sources.

According to Myrtle & Maude, the brand can be trusted with both you and your baby’s skin and wellbeing. Sustainability is also a priority, and so the brand’s eco-conscious packaging is either FSC sourced, made from sugar cane, recycled plastics, or naturally biodegradable materials.

Myrtle & Maude launched with a first-of-its-kind natural offering to help with morning sickness. The product grew in popularity via word of mouth and gained more than 800 four- and five-star reviews on Amazon – testament to its quality and ability to help women who were suffering from debilitating morning sickness. Since then, Myrtle & Maude has grown the range to help with other trials and tribulations of pregnancy, from fertility and conception right through to postpartum, breastfeeding and beyond.
